Effective Date: 3-13-2026
By engaging Local Lock and Key for any service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
Local Lock and Key provides residential, commercial, and automotive locksmith services throughout Washington and Benton County, Arkansas.
All quotes provided prior to service are estimates. Final pricing will be confirmed with the customer before any work begins. Full payment is due upon completion of services. Emergency or after-hours service calls may be subject to additional fees, which will be disclosed in advance. Checks are not accepted for emergency or after-hours calls.
Payment Responsibility: The individual who contacts us and authorizes service is responsible for payment upon completion. We do not redirect invoices to landlords, tenants, insurance companies, property managers, or any other third party after work has been performed. Any billing arrangements must be established and confirmed with all parties before work begins.
Local Lock and Key warrants all labor and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of service, limited to issues within the scope of the original work performed. A copy of the original invoice is required to submit a warranty claim. This warranty does not extend to parts or materials supplied by the customer or any third party.
Local Lock and Key is fully bonded and insured. Our liability is limited to the cost of the service performed. We accept no responsibility for pre-existing conditions, damage discovered in the course of work, or issues not directly caused by our technicians.
For the security of all parties, Local Lock and Key reserves the right to require proof of ownership or documented authority to authorize work before services are rendered. This determination is made at the discretion of the technician and is intended to protect our customers and their property.
Rental Properties & Lease Agreements: We do not perform entries or lock changes on rental properties outside the scope of a valid lease agreement. We do not assist with illegal evictions. If you require locksmith services as part of an eviction, please ensure law enforcement is present and the eviction has been properly authorized before we arrive — we are happy to assist once those conditions are met.
The safety and well-being of our technicians is a priority. Local Lock and Key reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or discontinue service at any time under the following circumstances:
Unsafe Job Site Conditions: Technicians may decline or vacate any job site deemed unsafe, including environments presenting chemical hazards (e.g., suspected narcotics manufacturing or consumption) or biological hazards (e.g., exposed sharps or human remains). The determination of safety is solely at the technician's discretion.
Domestic or Personal Disputes: Technicians will not intervene in or provide services in connection with family disputes, separations, divorces, or similar interpersonal conflicts. If a dispute arises on-site, the technician reserves the right to leave immediately and without notice.
Threatening or Intimidating Behavior: Any verbal or nonverbal threatening behavior directed at a technician — including aggressive posturing, glaring, or invasion of personal space with intent to intimidate — will result in immediate termination of service and permanent denial of future services.
Intoxicated Individuals: Services will not be rendered to any individual who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances. This applies to all service types, including but not limited to vehicle unlocks.
Unoccupied or Unsupervised Premises: Technicians will not enter an occupied residence or unit without a legal adult present on-site.
Aggressive Animals: Technicians will not work in the presence of aggressive animals. Any animal that displays aggressive behavior, including growling, must be secured before work can proceed.
Local Lock and Key reserves the right to refuse service to any individual or at any location at our discretion, with or without cause.
To ensure the safety of our technicians and the integrity of our work, the following policies apply to all customers:
Customers are not permitted to enter or ride in company vehicles at any time.
Customers may not handle, operate, or borrow any tools or equipment belonging to Local Lock and Key technicians.
For their personal safety, technicians may carry lawful self-defense items while on the job if they feel it is warranted. Customers will be disclosed of any such items before the technician enters the premises.
Abuse or harassment of any kind directed toward our technicians — whether verbal, physical, or otherwise — will not be tolerated and will result in the permanent denial of all current and future services.
